Dreams keep us alive; new hope keeps people active in life..!! But, what rejuvenates us when we become distressed while chasing the dream on the hard course of life? The magic spell, which revitalizes our new dreams; I think is the passion of our pastime! A hobby inclined with aesthetic beauty and moral values provide the very own space to deal with own self, to relieve inner feelings with utmost freedom and passion. So, I do consider pastimes as a great healing zone to celebrate. Photography in my view always is a unique, fantastic pastime. It is not just an art form but an artistic language derived from craftsmanship. It allows expressing artistic desires, translating inner thoughts smoothly with the essence of totality. Here a single image echoes a thousand words. Our untold and unexpressive tales come so communicatively and lucid in an image. A photograph is not just a mere photograph but a striking force to ignite our minds. A photograph might make us nostalgic, empathic, or courageous to some extent.
Photographs tell a life story that connects among different generations and reflects the attitude we leave behind for our children. Photography contributes a lot to transferring tradition, culture, and values through generations. All these ideas inspired me to do photography as a favorite hobby but now it became a part of my life. In between the busy regular urban life and responsibilities I do step out with my camera to capture different shades of life, be connected with nature, and celebrate my inner journey with life. It helps me a lot to know thy self in a new way. It’s my great pleasure to find myself in the throng of Photographers and I feel blessed to sketch myself as a Chronicler of this artistic language with the companion of a camera- my best friend!

মানুষ নাকি স্বপ্নে বাচেঁ; নতুন আশাই নাকি মানুষকে জীবনপথে কর্মব্যস্ত রাখে ..!! আচ্ছা, স্বপ্নের পিছনে ছুটতে ছুটতে মানুষ যখন ক্লান্ত, বিষন্ন, পুরোপুরি বিপর্যস্থ; কঠিন কঠোর বাস্তবতায় স্বপ্নভঙ্গের বেদনা যখন মানুষকে কুড়ে কুড়ে খায় তখন কোন জীবনি শক্তি তাকে বাচিঁয়ে রাখে !!!?? কোন সে বিষয়- যা তাকে নতুনভাবে স্বপ্ন দেখতে প্রস্তুত করে, আমি মনে করি এটা ‘শখ’। একটি সুস্থ, শৈল্পিক, শালীন ‘শখ’ একটি মানুষকে নিজের মধ্যে সম্পূর্ন নিজস্ব, একান্ত আপন একটি জাগয়া তৈরি করে দেয় যেখানে সে সকল দু:খ -ক্লেশ, জয়- পরাজয় , প্রাপ্তি-অপ্রাপ্তি ’র দীর্ঘশ্বাস ফেলে আপন স্বকীয়তায় নিজেকে বিকাশের সুযোগ পায়। তাই শখ নামক একটি প্রেরণাদায়ক জীবনীশক্তি নিজের মধ্যে লালন করা সবসময়ই বাঞ্চনীয় মনে করি।

শখ হিসাবে ফটোগ্রাফি সবসময়ই আমার কাছে অসাধারন ও অনন্য। কেননা ফটোগ্রাফী শুধু মাত্র একটি শিল্পই নয়, এটি জটিলতার মায়াজালে মোড়ানো একটি মনোমুগ্ধকর ভাষা। এখানে যেমন আছে একজন মানুষের শিল্প মনের বিকাশ করার সুযোগ, তেমনি আছে নিজের ভাবনাকে সহজ ও সম্পূর্নভাবে প্রকাশ করার উপায় । এখানে একটি শব্দ হাজার শব্দের কথা বলে। যা আমরা সবসময় বলি না অথবা বলতে যেয়ে সাধারণ ভাষার শব্দভান্ডারে শব্দ খুঁজে পাই না সেখানে এ ভাষা বাধাহীন, প্রাঞ্জল। একটি ফটোগ্রাফ শুধু একটি ফটোগ্রাফ ই নয়, এটি আমাদের চেতনাশক্তি প্রভাবিত করতেও সমর্থ। কখনও একটি ছবি আমাদের স্মৃতিকাতর করে কখনও বা আমাদের করে মমতাময়ী, কখন ও বা সাহসী।

ফটোগ্রাফ হল একেকটি প্রজন্মের জীবনগাঁথা, একটি প্রজন্ম আরেকটি প্রজন্মের সামনে তুলে ধরতে ফটোগ্রাফের বিকল্প কোথায়! একটি প্রজন্মের মূল্যবোধ, সংস্কৃতি, আচার, ভাবনা, চেতনা ফটোগ্রাফের মাধ্যমে প্রজন্ম থেকে প্রজন্ম ছড়িয়ে দিতে ফটোগ্রাফির অবদান অনন্য। এসকল ভাবনা, শখ ও প্রচন্ড ভাললাগা থেকে ফটোগ্রাফি শুরু করলেও শখের গন্ডি পেরিয়ে ফটোগ্রাফী আজ আমার জীবনের একটি অংশ। কর্মব্যস্ত জীবনের প্রচন্ড ব্যস্ততার মধ্যেও সপ্তাহ অন্তে ক্ষুদ্র সময়ে ক্যমেরাকে সঙ্গী করে আপনমনে বেড়িয়ে পড়া, কখনও প্রকৃতির মাঝে অপার স্নেহের সান্নিধ্য নেয়া, কখনও বা চারপাশের চলমান জীবনের সাথে মিশে যাওয়া, খুব কাছ থেকে নানা জীবনের নানা রূপ কে উপলব্ধি করা সবসময়ই আমার চেতনাকে সমৃদ্ধ করেছে এবং নিজেকে নতুনভাবে খুজেঁ পেতে সাহায্য করেছে। আমার আমিকে খুজেঁ পেতে ক্যামেরার সাহচর্য বিবেচনা করে এটিকে আমার সেরাবন্ধু হিসেবেই গণ্য করেছি এবং নিজেকে ফটোগ্রাফি নামক মনোমুগ্ধকর ভাষার গল্পকথক দের মাঝে নিজেকে খুজে পেতে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়েছি।
